Everything Starts with a Broken Skateboard

I make small batches of wooden sunglasses here in Canada from broken and recycled skateboards that have been deemed completely unridable and donated from shops and individuals from all around Ontario and beyond.

The build process is only as fast as our hands can move and small details really matter, the amount of machine sanding and delicate hand finish sanding takes a certain mindset, luckily I love it!

7 pairs are made from each skateboard

The sunglasses you see above are 1 of 7 made from that particular skateboard. You may not get the exact pair pictured rest assured you will for sure get 1 of the 7 made from that board! If you really want something specific feel free to reach out.

Don’t need the lenses? Want to put in your own prescriptions use the code PRESCRIPTION at checkout for $15 off and frames without the lenses!

  1. Griffin

I didn’t read the description thoroughly and thought since there were a ton of different styles pictured on his store that they would be similar if maybe not the exact same. Unfortunately that was not he case but, I had good luck and really like the ones that came anyway! Make sure you read the info yall.

Glasses are super light but still feel sturdy and the hinges feel strong and flex outward which is nice, they feel plenty secure on the head. I might try and get the color scheme I originally wanted in addition to the ones I received.

Thanks for the feedback Griffin! Yes I really try and send a pair cut from the same skateboard as the one in the photo on each product, and if it’s not then it’s a very close design hopefully! Have to work with what I have when it comes to recycled skateboards as material
