Recycled Skateboards! That’s right, your new favourite sunglasses were proudly made here in Canada from recycled skateboards. Each pair came from 7 layers of solid skateboard maple wood veneer that had a totally unique backstory. Making each pair a one of a kind.
Process
Everything Starts with a Broken Skateboard
I make small batches of wooden sunglasses here in Canada from broken and recycled skateboards that have been deemed completely unridable and donated from shops and individuals from all around Ontario and beyond.
The build process is only as fast as your hands can move and the small details really matter, the amount of heavy machine sanding and then delicate hand finish sanding takes a certain mentality, luckily I love it!

The sunglasses you see above are 1 of 7 made from that particular skateboard. You may not get the exact pair pictured reset assured you will for sure get 1 of the 7 made from that board! If you really want something specific feel free to reach out.

Bought a pair of sunglasses for my husband a while back. They are his favorite pair of shades. In fact, he loves them so much that when it came time for him to buy prescription eyeglasses, he lamented that his fave sunglasses weren’t also his eyeglasses. So, I messaged Chris, and asked him if we could purchase just a pair of his frames, so my hubby could get them custom fitted for his prescription. Lo and behold, Chris not only made it happen, he sold us the frames with a nice discount. These glasses are super dope, my husband receives so many compliments, they are comfortable, and he did not encounter the “new glasses migraine” that often accompanies new glasses. The craftsmanship is beautiful, the style is unforgettable, and these frames can work with both laid back and more formal looks. I forever recommend these sunnies!
